A big massive thanks to everyone who came along, got involved, showed, enjoyed the first Defender Jam. The aim was to hold a laid back, fun and sociable event for like minded people.
The sun was shining and people saw a Twisted, 2 x Bowlers, Gibsons Auto Spares, Strathearn Engineering, Engine 710, 3x Bespokes, 1x Chelsea Truck Company, Lix Toll, G4, 101s, Series 3 Fire Engine from the Fire Heritage Trust, Glengoyne Whisky, Guerilla Cast and Piste, McLeod Lettings, 4×4 Hire Scotland, Amazing Days Events, Discoveries, Range Rovers, plus so many different Defenders, County, and Series Land Rovers.
Amazing food was supplied by Fox Hat Food (130 Smoker), Bonnie mountain (110 coffee van), plus Mhor Fish and Chips, Bread and barbeque.
There were stalls with Barbour and North Face clothes etc. from CCW, Ben Fogle Books, Art by The Loch, Chris Hastie Automotive Art, 2 More Heads, Hunters Bothy, Maisie Gee, McNahl Honey, Sparkles and Surprises, plus Handsome Jack’s barbers who were busy all day cutting hair in the back of a horse box.
There was entertainment from The Weegie Beats band, The Attic Room Sessions, Normski, Mash and Joshua who DJ’d from the roof of our Series 2 Ambulance.
A graffiti mural done throughout the day.
There was a raffle where winners won Bearmach vouchers, signed Ben Fogle books and Twisted T Shirts.
The green laning track was a hit with stunning views and challenging parts, but the track got churned up and was taking a lot longer than it should, and eventually became unusable. We quickly moved to a new location but we can only apologise as some people never got to make it on the track.
